Nottingham Building Society is to embark on a brand transformation programme that will see the mutual emphasis its purpose-driven mission to serve people in the community.
The society has been in existence for more than 170 years and is centred in the East Midlands but the mutual’s CEO is eager for a new marketing focus that captures the efforts the organisation is making to support its members.
“We are eager to ensure our brand evolves to reflect our new purpose, and the evolving needs of the people and communities we serve,” Sue Hayes, chief executive officer of the society, said.
The organisation has appointed its first ever chief communications and marketing officer to head up the project in Holly Marshall.
Marshall was previously director of corporate affairs and marketing at Aldermore Bank and worked as a marketing and communications manager at UBS before that. Most recently, she led Yard Communications, a consultancy in London.
Speaking on her appointment, Marshall said she was joining the building society at an exciting time.
“Nottingham Building Society has big ambitions, a loved brand which has national appeal and I’m looking forward to working with colleagues across the society to achieve this goal.”
