People’s Pension has reported strong member engagement following the rollout of its refreshed personalised video statements, with around 95% of active members now able to access the service.
The UK’s largest commercial master trust, which has around seven million members, introduced the videos to make key pension information easier to understand and more engaging.
Designed to complement annual regulatory statements, the personalised videos use information including members’ names, pension values, investment profiles and future projections. They also provide a clearer view of potential pension pot sizes and retirement income, alongside information such as Savings Reward.
According to People’s Pension, nine in ten members who receive the videos remain fully engaged with them, while feedback has also been consistently positive.
David Meliveo, Chief Commercial Officer at People’s Pension, said the refreshed videos represented a step forward in the organisation’s approach to personalisation and member engagement.
He said regular, simple interactions can help build members’ confidence in their finances, adding that member insight would continue to shape the service.
Nigel Rodgers, Chief Information Officer at People’s Pension, said technology had the potential to transform how pension providers communicate with members.
He added that the video statements had been developed with scalability, security and efficiency in mind, with the aim of creating a more seamless and intuitive experience.
People’s Pension also plans to make the personalised video statements available through its member app, giving members another way to access and engage with their pension information.
