QNB Group is consolidating its identities in Egypt and Türkiye under one single brand, removing the Alahli and Finansbank brands from the market entirely.
In a media statement released on Monday (14 October), the Qatari banking group, headquartered in Doha, said the decision to operate solely as QNB in the countries was a reflection of its desire to be seen with a unique “global presence”.
“We are excited to unveil our unified brand identity in Egypt and Turkey,” said Abdullah Mubarak Al Khalifa, group chief executive officer at QNB.
“This strategic step underscores our commitment to making our brand stronger and more organised, embedding it in the minds of our customers worldwide.
“By consolidating our operations under the QNB banner, we are better positioned to drive innovation, expand our reach, and deliver greater value to our shareholders.”
The company said that, by unifying the brand, the organisation aims to streamline operations and “enhance collaboration” between its subsidiaries.
QNB Group operates in 28 countries through its subsidiaries and associate companies and employs more than 31,000 people in 900 locations.
It comes after the group reported a strong rise in profits last week for the nine months ending 30 September 2024, according to an analysis reported in Gulf Business.
The group has seen strong growth in its loan portfolio while deposits at the bank have also ticked upwards.
