Rightmove has unveiled a new consumer PR campaign ‘Selling Sunderland’, a playful parody of glamorous property TV shows.
Selling Sunderland pokes fun at the glitz and glamour of some property shows, swapping LA mansions for Sunderland’s authentic charm and variety of properties, with the help of TV personality and Sunderland local Charlotte Crosby.
Selling Sunderland forms part of Rightmove’s latest marketing campaign ‘If they can find it, so can you’, communicating that with the UK’s largest choice of homes, everyone can find a home that fits their requirements on Rightmove.
In the video, Sunderland’s affordability, local community and character take centre stage, with Crosby and three expert estate agents hosting property viewings that spotlight the variety and value in the area.
Together, they guide prospective buyers through three distinctive properties, blending expert market insights with Crosby’s heartfelt enthusiasm for her hometown.
The Selling Sunderland campaign includes a video of Crosby taking viewers on a tour of Sunderland’s best loved locations including Seaham Beach, the Stadium of Light, and Empire theatre
Sunderland is a popular choice for those in the North East – ranking in the top three locations in the region for prospective buyers searching their next home – being beaten only by Newcastle and the historic town of Darlington.
Yet for those seeking out city life across Great Britain, Sunderland only comes in 38th position in a long list of 50 of Great Britain’s biggest cities.
This campaign seeks to highlight Sunderland’s potential as a fantastic place to call home.
Creative development and execution was led by Smarts PR agency.
