Stripe has announced a new partnership with the Ryder Cup, becoming the Official Financial and Payments Infrastructure Partner for the iconic competition.
The agreement will see Stripe become a Worldwide Partner for both the 2027 Ryder Cup at Adare Manor in Ireland and the 2029 Ryder Cup at Hazeltine National Golf Club in the US, supporting the event’s growing global fanbase.
As part of the partnership, Stripe will enhance the Ryder Cup’s payment experience across ticketing, hospitality, merchandise and on-site spending.
Fans will benefit from faster online checkout through Stripe Link, local payment options, and streamlined transactions at the event through Stripe Terminal technology.
The collaboration builds on an existing relationship between the two organisations, with Stripe already supporting online payments for Ryder Cup ticketing.
Conor McNamara, chief revenue officer EMEA at Stripe, said the Ryder Cup represents the type of large-scale, complex environment where Stripe’s financial infrastructure can support millions of customer interactions.
“An event like the Ryder Cup, with payments running across ticketing, food and beverage, and merchandise, is exactly the kind of scale Stripe operates at every day,” he said.
Guy Kinnings, chief executive officer at the European Tour group, said Stripe’s technology will help deliver a faster and more convenient experience for fans, including supporting a cashless event at the 2027 Ryder Cup in Ireland.
Terry Clark, chief executive officer at the PGA of America, added that Stripe’s infrastructure will help create a seamless payment journey for spectators attending the 2029 Ryder Cup at Hazeltine.
