Visa and India-based HDFC Bank have launched a new partnership themed on FIFA World Cup 2026, focusing on boosting customer engagement through payment-linked experiences.
This collaboration includes the rollout of a limited-edition FIFA World Cup 2026 Visa Pixel Credit Card and a nationwide “Spend & Win” campaign to help connect Indian consumers with the tournament.
The card, which will be available via HDFC Bank’s Pixel platform, targets digitally native users, offering flexible customisation and app-based management. Existing Pixel customers and new applicants will have access to the FIFA-themed design from this month.
This campaign builds on Visa’s global partnership with FIFA and reflects an industry trend towards integrating payments with entertainment and lifestyle benefits – particularly around sports events. It will also extend across HDFC Bank’s card portfolio – including credit, debit, business and forex cards – enabling customers to unlock rewards through everyday spending.
Rishi Chhabra, Ccountry Mmanager, Visa India, said: “Our nationwide collaboration with HDFC Bank transforms everyday payments across all card portfolios into access points for extraordinary global experiences.
“It’s about making the world’s biggest sporting moments more accessible, secure, and rewarding for Indian consumers.”
Ashish Parthasarthy, group head – branch banking, payments, treasury, liability products, marketing, virtual channels and infrastructure at HDFC Bank, said partnering with Visa would bring together the “thrill of the FIFA World Cup and the seamless convenience of digital payments to millions of customers.”
He added that HDFC will offer “unparalleled opportunities to engage with the tournament, celebrate their passion for football, and enjoy exceptional value throughout FIFA World Cup 2026.”
