RBC has launched the ‘You Deserve’ campaign, fronted by Canadian actor Will Arnett, encouraging consumers to expect more from their banks and to value authentic, human advice.
The 60-second hero spot opens with Arnett, who is known for his roles in Arrested Development, Bojack Horseman and the Lego movies, walking down a city street towards an RBC branch, questioning what truly makes a bank more than just a bank.
“It’s someone being there when you’re overwhelmed,” he says. “It’s a conversation when it counts. A bank that’s there through the highs and the hard parts – whether you’re buying your first home or saving to buy your last.”
The campaign aims to reframe banking around emotional value, including trust, security and personal connection, rather than convenience or product features.
It positions RBC as a brand built on real relationships and genuine support, speaking directly to rising consumer demand for authenticity and empathy in financial services.
The bank seeks to communicate that Canadians shouldn’t settle when it comes to banking, instead they deserve a bank that goes beyond the basics and is there when it matters.
The ‘You Deserve’ campaign runs across broadcast, CTV, online video and streaming radio.
