Willis Towers Watson (WTW) has entered sports sponsorship at a corporate level for the first time through a three-year global agreement, becoming the exclusive insurance partner of professional cycling team INEOS Grenadiers.
The agreement gives WTW branding rights across the team’s global platform, including placement on jerseys and team vehicles, alongside joint marketing and client engagement activity across multiple international markets.
Professional cycling was selected for its alignment with themes of risk management, preparation and long-term performance, with the sport’s year-round international calendar providing a global platform suited to WTW’s multinational client base.
“Cycling was a deliberate choice. It’s defined by risk, preparation and long-term outcomes, closely aligned with the challenges our clients face and the expertise WTW brings to managing complexity and sustaining performance”, said Carl Hess, CEO of Willis Towers Watson.
INEOS Grenadiers’ director of sport Sir Dave Brailsford said the partnership reflected a shared focus on preparation, resilience and managing complexity in high-pressure environments.
The deal reflects how insurers and professional services firms are increasingly using selective, globally scalable sports partnerships to support brand visibility and senior‑level client engagement, rather than broad consumer sponsorships.
