Revolut has enlisted Premier League star Erling Haaland as the face of its latest UK advertising campaign, as the digital bank looks to build on the momentum of securing its UK banking licence earlier this year.
The latest instalment of Revolut’s “Welcome to my Bank” campaign places Haaland at the centre of a series of humorous adverts designed to showcase the bank’s products through the lens of the footballer’s larger-than-life lifestyle.
The campaign expands Revolut’s existing relationship with Manchester City, where the company already serves as the club’s global partner and official back-of-shirt sponsor for both the men’s and women’s first teams.
In a collection of films, Haaland delivers updates on his finances from exaggerated settings inspired by his daily routine.
One advert shows the Norway striker checking his daily interest earnings while sitting in a cryotherapy chamber, while another sees him redeeming Revolut’s RevPoints loyalty rewards surrounded by piles of Premier League footballs.
The campaign highlights several of Revolut’s key products, including savings accounts, personalised cards and its RevPoints rewards programme, while reinforcing the company’s ambition to position itself as more than a traditional bank.
Antoine Le Nel, Chief Marketing and Growth Officer at Revolut, said Haaland’s relentless pursuit of excellence made him a natural fit for the brand.
“Unstoppable, performance-obsessed, and committed to excellence, Haaland is a machine in football. Revolut brings that same mindset to finance.”
Alongside the digital and video campaign, Revolut is launching a major out-of-home activation in Manchester.
A large-scale billboard featuring Haaland and the slogan “Welcome to my Bank” has been installed at Printworks Manchester, remaining on display until 10 June in a prominent location close to the striker’s club’s home city.
